Confiep reaffirms its commitment to promote inclusive growth

The National Confederation of Private Business (Confiep) yesterday reaffirmed its commitment to invest in Peru and help boost the country’s growth and development with social inclusion.

In its “Declaration for a country with growth and social inclusion”, published in several morning newspapers, the union entity believes that President-elect Ollanta Humala Tasso should facilitate dialogue, understanding, and national reconciliation in a climate of social peace and tolerance. “For our part, us entrepreneurs reaffirm our commitment to invest in Peru, from our business role to tirelessly promote the growth and development of the country with social inclusion,” it highlighted.

The business association also pledged to promote respect for the law to act in accordance with standards of ethics, transparency and equity, and reject, condemn and denounce any act of corruption. Also, to watch the full force of the economic and political system of the Constitution, and denounce the acts and conduct that seeks to ignore it.

Similarly, they expressed confidence that Ollanta Humala would fulfill his unrestricted respect for the Constitution, his economic and political system, fight corruption, and promote private investment. They are also sure that the newly elected president will ensure the fundamental rights of citizens, ensure the stability of economic growth and social stability, and respect the law and fight crime. Finally, Confiep wished success to President-elect Ollanta Humala for his administration.

On the other hand, the National Confederation of Private Business reported that to be held next June 23rd-25th in the city of Huaraz, Ancash department is the 'Business Conference Ancash - JEA 2011: Promoting business in Huaraz’. This conference will promote economic opportunities and contribute to economic development in the region.

In the last three years 420 companies have participated in this event and it has generated over 10 million dollars in commercial transactions. This business day is the combined efforts of public and private sectors, promoted by the Antamina Mining Fund and supported by the Chamber of Commerce and the provincial municipality of Huaraz. It was reported that on June 23rd there would be business roundtable, while on the next day a Business Forum. Also on June 23rd-25th there will be a Products Fair.

In addition, from July 13th-15th 2011 to be held at the Coliseo de Chincha in the Ica region, the Business Days of Chincha - JEC 2011: Generating business opportunities for all, consisting of a series of events that generate business meetings between entrepreneurs from Chincha, the region, the country, and internationally, in the same place and for a short period of time.

The JEC will allow entering new markets, expand business, to define or start a business, expand business contacts and showcase products and services, and exchange experiences. Confiep reported that from July 13th –15th the Fair of Products and Services would be held; July 14th business seminars are planned, while July 15th the Business Roundtable will be held in Chincha.
